PTI MIM #316: Stenciled Edges

3/28/18
This weeks MIM at PTI is hosted by Lizzie and she challenges us to use stencils as edging for our cards.
I chose to use a leaf stencil by TCW tho they were a bit
large for edging. I thought the leaves would look nice
behind some Farmer's Market florals in a vase. I made
my first Mother's Day card for this year! I have 2 daughters
this year who will be celebrating their first official Mother's
Day. :)
Supplies: PTI Farmer's Market Florals, Simple Stems (sentiment), Stitch in Time Borders,
Vogue Vases, PTI Dye Ink, PTI Noted: Scalloped A2 Vertical Die, Aqua Mist CS, TCW
Mini Art Deco Leaves stencil, Stampendous shabby blue embossing enamel, Stickles.

PTI March 2018 Blog Hop

3/25/18
Our inspiration photo for the March Blog Hop at PTI is from
Martha Stewart...a large nest filled with Spring blooms! My
take on this photo started with a desire to craft a lattice planter
box. I was able to create this by using the Mix & Mat: Flourishes
diagonal die. I die-cut this from kraft CS and then used the cut-
outs to weave the lattice. Remember those placemats we used
to make in elementary school from strips of paper?! Well, at least
I did (and I am dating myself...). I framed the lattice work with a
rectangle frame by MFT and filled the planter box with Lilies and
Forget-Me-Nots (or at least that's what I think they look like).
Finished off by adding the little bee from Stemmed Statements
and a sentiment from Betsy's bloom & Grow. Now this is what I
call a PACKED card.    Happy Hopping !!
Supplies: PTI Lilies of the Field, Mixed Bouquet, bloom & GROW (sentiment), Stemmed
Statements, Mix & Mat: Flourishes, PTI Dye Ink (Lovely Lady, Autumn Rose, Spring Rain,
Blueberry Sky, Stormy Sea, Green Parakeet, New Leaf), MFT Single Stitch Line Rectangle
Frame/Stitched Rectangle STAX 2, Distress Oxide Ink, Copic Sketch.

PTI MIM #315: Embossing Enamel Splatters

3/21/18
Melissa hosts this weeks MIM creating a gorgeous BG with
embossed enamel splatters! I love the dimension created by
the embossed splatters. I agree with Melissa that these splatters
show up so much better than ordinary white paint. I had to order
a bottle of the chunky embossing powder myself to try this out.
Here is my take on Melissa's challenge.
Supplies: PTI Corner Adorner: February, bunny blessings, Tag Sale: Quilted Die, misc
PTI Dye Ink, Lawn Fawn Quilted Backdrop, Stampendous shabby pink embossing

PTI Create Along With Us: March 2018

3/14/18
So many beautiful sources for inspiration from the PTI DT this month (as usual)! I chose Betsy's gorgeous butterfly creation as I was captivated by her watercolor and vellum blooms. It is the perfect BG for her Monarch (??) butterfly and makes it
look like the butterfly is in motion.

I didn't quite get the same effect as Betsy (don't have the same hand at watercolors). I used my Zig Clean Color
markers to create some soft colors on watercolor paper...then die cut the frame from Mix & Mat Flourishes. My butterflies
are from an MFT set as I have none by PTI. I really like the
softness of the small vellum blooms. Thanks for visiting!  ;)

Supplies: PTI Mix & Mat: Flourishes, Noted: Scalloped A2 Vertical Die, Tag Sale: Quilt Die, PTI Aqua Mist CS, PTI Dye Ink (Aqua Mist, Hawaiian Shores, Harvest gold, Summer Sunset, Lovely Lady, Autumn Rose), MFT Beautiful Butterflies, Lawn Fawn Happy, Happy, Happy (sentiment), EK Success flower punches, Zig Clean Color, sequins.

PTI MIM #314: Color Wheel Cards

3/6/18
Lexi presents a twist on ROYGBIV and the color wheel for
this weeks MIM challenge. She arranges the colors of the
rainbow around a focal center much like a color wheel to
create her card.

I chose not to follow the color wheel arrangement using my
sponge-inked balloons since I felt the balloons would look more natural bunched into a bouquet. I am stuck on making
rainbow panels with my Distress Oxide inks! The colors come
out so vivid and you can die-cut anything from the panel afterwards. :)

Supplies: PTI birthday balloons, Never Enough Birthday, Tag Sale: Quilted die, Shape Shifters: Circle 1 Die, Distress Oxide Ink, PTI Dye Ink (Berry Sorbet, Orange Zest, Summer
Sunrise, Simply Chartreuse, Hawaiian Shores, Amethyst Allure).

I have not participated for awhile. I have a very limited stash from RC to work the sketches. Here's my take.
